*A Champagne Cocktail “Metropolis”, consisting of strawberry liqueur, a strawberry purée and French “bubbles”.
Bread Course
*Freshly baked bread, with a delightful selection of dips and oils.
Soup
*Tomato gazpacho

Entrée
* A seafood salad of smoked salmon, shrimp, & crab on a bed of lettuce, fennel and green beans
dressed with lemon juice and capers

*An absolutely delicious chicken and turkey terrine.

(Presented and carved by the Head Chef with as much as you can eat and then some more!!)
*Christmas glazed ham off the bone.
*The Famous County Hotel beef wellington
*Whole roasted traditional style turkey with a lemon, chestnut and cranberry stuffing
*Warm salmon en croûte extraordinaire with a béchamel sauce.
Accompanied with all of your favourite Christmas condiments and
Oven-roasted baby potatoes with fresh garden mint,
The Chamber’s Selection of fresh seasonal root vegetables,
Hawke’s Bay fresh asparagus with a lemon hollandaise sauce, and,
A Christmas tossed salad with mesclun, capsicum, nuts and cherry tomatoes.
Dessert
*The traditional steamed Christmas plum pudding with a butterscotch sauce

*The most delicious Kiwi pavlova with the finest local fresh seasonal fruits.
