The NZ Wine Centre
The Wine Centre is situated close to the hotel and offers a number of options for wine and food lovers. They have a well stocked aroma room that offers plenty of wines to get your nose into and run a variety of wine tasting adventures, the best of which sees visitors fly in a Tiger moth over vineyards, enjoy 6 or 12 different Hawkes Bay wines whilst learning more about the wines from the makers themselves. It's an opportunity not to be missed.
Te Mata Peak
Te Mata Peak is a peak south of Hastings rising up to 399m in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. A sealed road leads to the popular lookout at the summit, as well as several trails for hikers and mountain bikers.
Cape Kidnappers
Cape Kidnappers is a headland at the southeastern extremity of Hawke Bay on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island and sits at the end of an 8 km peninsula which protrudes into the Pacific Ocean. It is 20 km south-east of the city of Napier

Ahuriri Estuary Walking Track
Follow the track and board walk across the estuary. This estuary supports an interdependent community of wading birds, fish, mud dwellers and aquatic plant life. The board-walk stretches out across the water for good viewing. Take your binoculars.
Bluff Hill Walkway & Lookout
